Why Permission Marketing Is the Future of Online Advertising

Top Ten SEO Tips
Being ranked on the first page of a search engine is on everyone's agenda... So how do you do it? Read some beginner tips from Pebble Design on optimising your website content for a better Search Engine Optimisation strategy.
SEO the site before it's built
When you're building a new site or doing a redesign, you need to incorporate Search Engine Friendly code while it's being build. To do this you firstly need to decide what your Keywords or Keyphrases are.
When you SEO the site afterwards, you might as well build a new site. It's like building a house and then deciding you want to put in a kitchen when all the doors are in place.
Duplicate Websites. Duplicate Content
More isn't always best. Multiple sites with the same content are worth less than one site with the same content. With so many domains available at such cheap prices it's easy to go out and by a .com, .com.au, .net, .biz, .org and every other derivative or domain extension. Buying heaps of domains and copy and pasting the same content just makes you look greedy. And you'll water down your overall page rank.
Have Real Expectations
I hate to say it... but you are not going to rank number one on any search engine for a keyword like car, accommodation or shopping. It takes a lot of work to get you number one and a lot of vigilance and more importantly, it takes time! Don't expect anything spectacular for a least 3 months and be sensible. Add your location on to what you're selling and you'll have a better chance of being competitive.
Bigger isn't always better
You can be proud of having a lot of traffic to your website. But if nobody is buying anything or making an email enquiry or they're not really doing much at all... there isn't much point in having a website. Conversions is what you need to be concerned with - converting that traffic into an action that generates some sort of business revenue. Always think dollars (unless you're happy to give away your hard work for free?).
Navigation is important
If your website still has Home, About and Contact as your only navigation links, well... it's not going to do you much good.
Use Headings
Putting keywords in your headings are more important than in your text. If you're heading still says 'About Us', well... again, its not going to do you much good.
No Calls to Action
Customers need to do something when they get to your website, that's why shops have cash registers before you walk out.
