Why Permission Marketing Is the Future of Online Advertising
The concept of “Permission Marketing” isn’t new; in fact, Seth Godin’s 1999 book about “turning strangers into friends and friends into customers” seems remarkably prescient in today’s age of “Friending,” “Liking,” and “Following.” More

Get more from your mobile traffic
With more and more users accessing the web from mobile devices, can you be sure you are capitalising on this new traffic source?
Over the past year we've seen more and more users accessing websites from mobile devices. Currently, they are accommodating for up to 10% of total website traffic. If your website is not optimised for a mobile device then you may be loosing out on possible sales conversions.
From a sample of our top performing clients we can see since last year a definite upward trend in mobile usage.

Read about our top tips for optimising not only your website for mobile, but also your business.
Simplified Navigation
It's not rocket science. Most mobile users have limited bandwidth and network speeds. As this new market emerges the Telcos are still trying to figure out how to make money from this fairly new service.
When your customer accesses your full website its takes time to load and uses a lot of bandwith. We can see very high bounce rates for a mobile user to a non-mobile optimised website.
This means when the website takes more than a second to display they will usually quit. Once the page is loaded they only have a small screen and big fingers to get to where they want to go.
Keep your navigation BIG and limit the options.
Small Screen - Little Content
There are only so many clowns that fit into those little cars. And watching them all climb in is pretty funny.
A mobile user (iPad and touch devices excluded) only have a limited amount of screen space to work from.
So think about what you want to tell your customers and give it to them straight.
Mobile users want information and they want it fast. Otherwise they'll go and find a computer.
purpose Orientated
A common mobile user will go to a mobilesite to normally get one of 3 things.
1. Contact details
2. Directions
3. The jist of what you sell.
They normally are on the road and need to get access to information for a specific purpose. They usually aren't going to browse.
Your mobilesite needs to be designed in a way to deliver this. Functionality such as Click to Call allows your customers to call your business without having to remember the phone number or write it down.
Get to the point
Don't fluff around the edges and try to win a literacy award. Be specific and have a clear call to action.
On average we see much shorter times on site with mobile users compared to a desktop experience.
And finally ...
Give mobile users the option to visit the full website. You've put a lot of time, effort and money into it so why limit them only to a small and condensed version of what you have to offer.Even though all the points above say otherwise .. when people are bored .. say in an airport or waiting for a bus .. they are going to look for something to occupy their time.
Good thing we've always got our phones handy.
